Barossa Bourne has come about from my complete love for what is arguably one of the best wine regions in the world.
Wines that speak to a place, a time, the people, the community, the soil, the history, the vineyards, the rolling landscape, the four seasons each year – and the love that goes into growing grapes and making wine.
These are the wines I have always chased and now I can show you what it is that makes this region so breathtakingly beautiful.
Our wines are born out of a rich tapestry of many individual small family plots, that each bring something beautiful and their own uniqueness to my wines.
Open fermented, basket pressed and aged in older oak barrels. Traditional handling so as to let the region and it’s vineyards be seen, smelt and tasted as they should
– with very little intervention.
Wines with bright and ripe aromas, gentle yet rich tannin profile, subtle oak and a wonderfully long lasting set of flavours.
Wines that will age gracefully more more years to come, or simply sit at a table with good food, friends and family – and be a wonderful accompaniment to it all.
